A Mystery Indeed
We were pretty excited to try out this place. Had heard good reviews , read good reviews online, so when the time came for our next team party, Mystery of Food was the default option to try out.
We went there for lunch on a weekday. Service was good, waiters were courteous and even offered their suggestions. Ambiance was nice, seating was comfortable and the place was spacious.
Ordered mocktails ranging from Summer of 69 (actually Aam Panna) to MOEF Special (plain ol’ Bantaa) and more. For starters we had Kurkura Paneer Tikka, Dahi key Sholey and Chilly Chicken Dry. Starters were very good.
Main course however was just ok – Have had much better Dal Makhani at other places. Murg Labadar and Punjabi Rara Murg tasted almost the same. Nargisi Kofta was not as exotic as it promised to be. Quantity was good enough though.
However nothing prepared us for the jhatka that we got in the end – The bill came out to be a whopping 13000 Rs for the 15 of us. That too after a 25% discount on food.
In my view Mystery of Food is a total rip off. The place is decent however NOT a value for money. For the same amount (in fact lesser) there are much better options available (Country Inn for example). I would definitely not recommend this place.
