The Imperial Square Restaurant, Mussoorie

A Must Visit

We chanced upon this restaurant when we were looking for a place to have lunch as soon as we had reached Mussoorie, and we were so impressed with it that it became our regular haunt for the rest of the stay. The ambiance was cozy, seating very comfortable, the corner side tables overlooked the Mall road, and given that it was raining outside the view used to extremely beautiful. The restaurant also has a option for hookah, and a cafe too. The menu is vast ranging from American style breakfast, to Aloo Poori, to Paranthas, to Chinese, Indian and Continental for main course. The staff was courteous though the service could be improved.

Some of the things u must try are Paranthas, Aloo Poori and ‘Eggs Made to Order’ for breakfast. For main course you should definitely try Roast Garlic with Bamboo Shoots soup, Daal Makhani or Tadka along with Pudina Parantha/Amritsari Kulcha. We also tried their Veg Chinese Sizzler which was very amazing.

On Sat and Sun, they have a live performance too at night. The singer is a local talent but is indeed very talented. He will also sing songs on ur request thus making sure you definitely have a good time.

On the cost side, it does set you back a little. A meal for 6 costed us approx Rs 2000. But for the assured good time you have here, its worth it.
