Quick Bite, Mulshi and Hotel Good Luck Mulshi Dam

Route 2 Mulshi Dam and Tamhini Ghats

(To see the route in detail click here)

I have been to Mulshi Dam twice now,  beautiful river, clean blue waters, heavy rain, a wet me, garam garam pakodey and chai..the place is amazing. Its 40 kms from Pune (Chandni Chowk). The route is good for first 25 kms, but over the next 15 its a back breaker. But neverthless this place is a place to me. One of the unlimate romantic spots, and at the same time a fun filled partying place too. Its a place for one and all. This time when we came across this place enroute to Tamhini Ghats. When i was crossing Mulshi, it felt like I was in Australia or New Zealand. The endless blue water stretching out in front of us with greenery all around, it was sooooooo beautiful.

There are a variety of restaurants near the dam. The two that i have been to are Quick Bite, and Hotel Good Luck.

Quick Bite is a pure veg restaurant. The menu is just one page – u dont even have to bother to read it-standard dishes-mix veg, dal fry, paneer butter masala, etc etc. The restaurant offered nothing new in terms of menu, infact only less, and price – it was exorbitant. A plate of dal costed around 85 Rs, roti Rs 15, Naan Rs 25. The quantity was barely sufficient for two. The only thing good was that the food tasted very good-and the fact that we were damn hungry after driving around 100 kms made it taste finger licking good. The service is good and fast-they dont keep you hungry and waiting 🙂 Another good part was that the restaurant had a way to the river side (which most of the restaurants offer).

Rating 3/5 (mainly for taste).

Hotel Good Luck

I went here around a year and half back with my dear to heart (ex) Cramer Team. It was the first time we had been to Mulshi dam and the experience was very memorable. Cups and cups of chai, plates and plates of pakodey, and then lunch. Dont remember what we had ordered, but it tasted good for sure (veg part only). It is cheaper than Quick Bite and offers both vegetarian and non veg items. Better avoid non veg (we had fish which dint taste good).

The service here is very slow-We had to waitttttt a longggggggg time to get our pakodas and chai. Ambiance is comparatively better than rest of the hotels and the riverside which we can access via this restaurant is definitely much much better. We had spent a good 45 mins at the river bed. On a whole i would rate this one better than Quick Bite.

Rating:3(to 3.2)/5

Though i have visited the place called Mulshi no. of times , I have never been to Hotel Good Luck. So cant comment abt it but the taste of Quick Bite is really Awesome inspite of Pure Veg. I must have ate atleast 5 times over there & will advise others as well (especially Vegiterians) to have a lunch/dinner at Quick Bite only.
Surrounding of Mulshi is really Awesome. Tamhini is the place where you need Blanket while sleeping even in the month of April. In April there will be an Utsav of Vinzai Devi. Lot of Peoples from Mumbai, Pune use to gather over there in Utsav & stay in a tent for 3 nights & that time u required the blanket without which it is very difficult for you to sleep properly.
But i will advise to visit this place especially in Rainy season to enjoy the atmostphere & whether at Mulshi & Tamhini. Now that place is becoming a picnic spot.

  2. Hello,
If anyone have the contact details of Quickbite please reply.

  3. With havin so much written content do you ever
run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement?
My blog has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it
is popping it up all over the internet without
my agreement. Do you know any ways to help reduce content from being ripped off?
    I’d really appreciate it.
